Malia’s Senior Portrait Experience-Class of 2021
To get ready for Malia’s senior portrait experience, Malia and her mom came over to my studio for their pre-session consultation. We went over Malia’s, AND mom’s wish list, together! As with all my Seniors, their portrait experience is all about showing their uniqueness, personality, accomplishments, and personal style. Malia showed me some images from her Pinterest board which included a fun urban look with high-rises in the background, dance images, and sunset beach shots!
I scouted out 3 locations that I felt would give Malia the look and style she was looking for. We stated out in Downtown Glendale on a cute cobblestone street with beautiful red lanterns. There were several nearby spots to capture her urban look and beautiful dance images.
Next we were off to Malibu for her dream session!!!
After capturing two different outfits and looks of her classical ballet we were off to Malibu and one of my favorite beach spots-El Matador Beach!
In addition to Malia’s Senior Portraits, her parents were hoping to get a few shots of the family. Dad and younger sister met us at the beach and we had a blast shooting Malia and her family. I think mom and dad and sis were all in awe of Malia’s confidence and grace on camera. It was really fun to hear the enthusiasm and support she got from all of them, not to mention some very special “sisters” shots.
We were blessed with beautiful weather and the most amazing sunset ever!!! I have absolutely loved having Malia as my Senior Model Team’21 Ambassador. We have shared many shoots, laughter, and fun together over these past 10 months. I have watched Malia’s confidence grow on camera with each shoot over the last 10 months we’ve shared together!
