Lexi- Senior at Valencia High School Class of 2021
It was such an honor having this beautiful, talented young lady full of personality and wit on my Senior Model Team Class of 2021 and to be her senior photographer! We spent a fun year together and enjoyed multiple shoots, both individual and group!
When it came time for her senior portrait experience we did a couple of FaceTime sessions looking at different inspiration images and going over her wish list. Lexi is an accomplished dancer so we wanted to incorporate some of her ballet into her senior pictures along with an urban and nature vibe!
We started the day in hair and makeup so that she would feel and look her best! This is YOUR DAY to SHINE!!! Mel, my makeup artist, is a gem. She listens to my clients and creates a look that reflects their personality be it natural, glam, or somewhere in-between.
Lexi had four or five outfits selected for her senior portraits! We started our session in Old Town Pasadena. I love the charm Pasadena has to offer, from cobblestone streets, alleys, and perfect little cubbies! We were able to get several different looks here including Lexi’s ballet shots!
From here we drove over to Descanso Gardens, in La Canada Flintridge, where Lexi’s mom and sister met up with us. I always encourage some shots with your support team which is usually family and/or your bestie!!! Descanso didn’t disappoint with all the beautiful flowers, gardens, and the magic of golden hour. Not only did we capture beautiful pictures of Lexi, but also some priceless shots of her with her sister and mother and daughters!
I feel so blessed to be doing what I love! The most important thing to ensure you LOVE your photos is to INVEST in a great photographer. Not just any photographer, but a photographer that will take their time, make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, a photographer that will make it easy to feel silly, have fun, and be yourself so that you get natural, unposed, REAL, beautiful shots!!!
