I met Megan when she was only thirteen years old. Her parents chose me as their family portrait photographer. Megan and I had a connection from the get go! She loved the camera, and the camera loved her!! I told her about my Senior Model Team Program and from there it was just a count down till her senior year to join Team’22 and to shoot her senior portrait dream session!!!
“Don’t hate me cause I’m beautiful” couldn’t apply any more than with this smart, driven and accomplished girl! What you should know about her:
- She was President of both the Academy of Medicine and Pre Med Society
- Treasurer of Solar Army(Caltech affiliated research club)
- Played Varsity Soccer
- Volunteered at homeless clinics
- International Medical Missions
- Health advocate for underrepresented communities
In her spare time, haha, she enjoyed exercising, cooking/baking, surfing, and binge watching Grey’s Anatomy!
This girls goal and dream is to become a surgeon and I’m so proud to share she was accepted into STANFORD!!!!!!
When it came to her senior portrait session Megan was pretty clear on what she wanted to capture. We spent some time going over her inspiration photos , planning out her wardrobe and coming up with the perfect locations for her senior experience!
Megan wanted some beauty photos in a nature field, some sporty photos with her volleyball, casual pics, something elegant, something in her scrubs and stethoscope, and an edgier urban vibe and street scene.
We started off in Altadena for her nature shots, made our way to a local taco truck, as tacos are her fav food, and worked our way to Old Town, Pasadena for her urban vibes!!!
The best reward for me was capturing her candid elation on video as she scrolled over her photos on the back of my camera. Her joy said it all…
I know Megan and I will stay in touch over the years, and I’ll look forward to your Senior Portraits on graduation, yes, from STANFORD!!!!!!!
