A Senior Portrait Session is not just about taking pictures, it’s about freezing time and preserving memories that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Senior portrait sessions hold a special place in my heart. They mark the culmination of years of hard work, growth, and achievements. They are a celebration of accomplishments and the beginning of a new chapter. And as a photographer, it’s both an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with capturing these moments.
Ella’s wishlist started with a garden setting. We chose Descanso Gardens in La Canada, a picturesque location with beautiful flower gardens, fountains, and enchanting forests. As our session began I encouraged Ella to let her personality shine through by creating a comfortable, playful experience. Having spent time in front of the camera in my younger years it’s given me the ability to connect with my clients and give them suugestions and tips for posing and looking natural. It was especially fun to have her little sister join in on some of the photos too! Okay…moving on!
Our second location was Old Town Pasadena for an urban setting. Ella made a wardrobe change to an edgier look that was both sophisticated and sassy. We took advantage of the brick walls and some industrial settings to create some editorial looking shots. Success!
From the gardens to the seas! Our third and last location was the beautiful El Matador Beach in Malibu. As golden hour bathed the scene we took advantage of the wild flower fields before making our way down to the beach. Ella chose a beautiful plum colored dress, then changed into shorts, and finished off her session looking stunning in a swimsuit ( how you can you not being a California girl!) The last rays of sun light washed her images with the most perfect golden glow.
Thank you Ella for choosing me as your photographer…
